Overview
TraderSpy Market Briefing
This skill turns fresh TraderSpy market data into a short, ordered briefing. It combines major-coin prices, derivatives positioning, liquid-pair movers, stretched RSI names, and signal-engine context. Use it for a market update, morning brief, broad crypto question, or weekly recap. Single-coin, trader, and signal deep dives use the related specialist skills.
What it does
TraderSpy Market Briefing answers a fixed set of broad crypto-market questions with current tool results. It emphasizes selection and brevity because tool calls consume quota. The standard playbook contains six read-only steps, with a shorter three-call headline variant for limited quota or a brief request.
The first step uses get_price to retrieve BTC, ETH, and SOL prices, daily changes, and daily ranges, together with coins mentioned by the user. get_derivatives adds funding labels and annualized rates, open-interest changes and regimes, top-trader long share, taker flow, and explanatory notes. screen_symbols sorts the most-traded pairs by daily change, taking the top five as gainers and the last five as losers. This is a liquid-pair sample rather than an all-market ranking.
A four-hour RSI screen looks for oversold names and can switch to overbought names if the first screen is empty. get_signal_stats statistics cover the last day or seven days for a weekly recap, followed by five fresh get_signals results. Optional get_positions calls use open status and a limit of 20. Specific trader positions are added only when the user asks who is positioned how; aggregate top-trader lean is already present in derivatives data.
A sample briefing request is:
Give me a crypto market briefing.
When to use - and when NOT to
Use it for market updates, morning briefs, general crypto questions, weekly recaps, or requests for interesting current developments. A deep dive into one coin, one trader, or one signal belongs to the corresponding related skill. The headline variant uses prices, derivatives, and signal statistics and explicitly identifies skipped sections. Weekly recaps change the statistics window and screener interval.
This workflow provides market information for the user's own research. Crowded positioning is a risk observation rather than a trade instruction, and historical hit rates are not predictions. The connector has no order, close, transfer, or withdrawal tools, so it cannot act on the briefing.
Inputs and outputs
Input is the requested briefing scope plus fresh responses from the hosted server. Every reported number comes from a call in the current conversation. The output starts with its date and UTC call time, then a headline, major-price table, positioning lines, gainers and losers, stretched names, signal-engine summary, and two or three data-derived watch points. The target length is under roughly 350 words. A failed or empty call leaves a visible availability note rather than silently removing its section.
Funding near 0.01% per eight hours is neutral; positive funding costs longs and negative funding costs shorts. Open-interest regimes distinguish new longs, short covering, new shorts, long liquidation, and flat conditions through the direction of OI and price. Top-trader ratios at least 1.5 indicate long-heavy positioning, at most 0.67 indicate short-heavy positioning, and values between them are balanced. The top-trader position ratio and all-account crowd ratio are distinct. The major-price call supports up to 20 symbols; derivatives support five. The movers call sorts a universe of 50 most-traded pairs by 24-hour change. The stretched screen uses RSI below 30 or above 70. Weekly recaps use 7d statistics and 1d screener intervals. Signal win rate uses hits divided by hits plus stops, accompanied by total and pending counts. A daily window with fewer than about ten resolved signals is identified as a small sample. Watch points explain facts and confirmation conditions without directing purchases or short positions.
Integrations
The hosted endpoint is https://mcp.traderspy.app/mcp over Streamable HTTP. Connect it in the client and authorize with OAuth or a personal key from https://traderspy.app/mcp. A free account is sufficient. Daily tool limits are 300 calls on the free tier and 5,000 on premium. Without the server connection, this skill has no live market data.
