Overview
Social Media Setup
Separate channel setup from dated posts in a manageable register. Use when selecting channels and a cadence the team can sustain.
What it does
Social Media Setup recommends the smallest useful channel set for the business. A short recommendation is the default; the channel and content register is built only when requested.
When to use - and when NOT to
Use it when selecting channels and a publishing cadence the available people can maintain. A modest sustained cadence is preferred to a brief burst that leaves abandoned accounts. Do not treat the default recommendation as a completed content calendar.
Inputs and outputs
Channels and posts are distinct rows identified by Row Type. A channel is permanent configuration; a post is a dated event published once. Keeping them separate prevents post updates from changing channel settings and lets the profile checklist be completed against a channel rather than a post. Requested CSV, SQL DDL, JSON Schema and Notion mappings share one field list.
Integrations
The register is an output artifact. No account provisioning, automatic posting or publishing integration is specified.
Source README
Works out the smallest useful channel set for the business in front of it, then builds it
only when asked. The default output is a short recommendation, not a content calendar. The
channel and content register - CSV, SQL DDL, JSON Schema, Notion mapping - is produced on
request, from one field list so the four cannot drift apart.
The rule this table exists to enforce: a channel and a post are different rows, and aRow Type discriminator keeps them apart. A channel is a permanent configuration; a post
is a dated event that is published once. Merging them means the channel settings change
every time something is posted, and the profile checklist can never be marked complete
against a post.
The second rule: the cadence has to be one the business can keep with the people it
has. A daily plan on one founder is a plan that stops in week three, and an abandoned
account is worse than no account. Two posts a week beats five a week for one month.
