Overview
Monthly Closing & Statements
Plans an empty monthly-closing template for checklists, answers and period figures. It records the close without performing accounting calculations. Use it to make monthly closing repeatable and show outstanding items to the next person.
What it does
The skill recommends the smallest useful monthly closing and statements setup for a business, then builds it only when requested. Its default output is a short recommendation rather than a spreadsheet. Requested CSV, SQL DDL, JSON Schema and Notion mappings share one field list so their structures remain aligned.
When to use - and when NOT to
Use it to make a monthly close repeatable and let the next person see what remains open. It records the checklist, answers and period figures. It does not close the books, calculate a trial balance or draw a balance sheet.
Inputs and outputs
The output is an empty template for the closing record. The business's needs determine the smallest useful setup; artifact generation follows an explicit request.
Source README
Works out the smallest useful Monthly Closing & Statements setup for the business in front of it, then
builds it only when asked. The default output is a short recommendation, not a
spreadsheet. Artifacts - CSV, SQL DDL, JSON Schema, Notion mapping - are produced on
request, from one field list so they cannot drift apart.
This skill produces an empty template. It does not close your books, does not calculate
your trial balance and does not draw a balance sheet. It records the checklist, the
answers and the period figures so the close is repeatable and the next person can see
what was still open.
