When to use - and when NOT to

Use this skill when a user asks for psychology, persuasion, or behavioral insight to influence a specific marketing behavior (pricing decisions, sign-ups, retention). Not a fit for producing a general list of cognitive biases without a target behavior, or for any application involving dark patterns, false scarcity, hidden defaults, or exploiting vulnerable users - these are explicitly excluded regardless of potential leverage.

Inputs and outputs

The four-step process: define the target behavior and its position in the awareness-to-decision-to-retention journey along with the current blocker; shortlist 5-8 candidate mental models and eliminate those that don't map directly to the behavior; score each candidate with the Psychological Leverage & Feasibility Score (PLFS) and keep only the top 3-5; then translate each into action explaining why it works, where to apply it, what to test, and its ethical guardrail.

PLFS scores five dimensions on a 1-5 scale (behavioral leverage, context fit, implementation ease, speed to signal, ethical safety) via the formula (Leverage + Fit + Speed + Ethics) minus Implementation Cost, producing a score from -5 to 15 (capped at 15).
