Why it matters
Integrate Azure OpenAI's DALL-E 3 image generation capabilities into your applications via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This asset bridges your MCP clients with powerful text-to-image creation, allowing for customizable image generation and local storage.
Outcomes
What it gets done
Connect to Azure OpenAI DALL-E 3 via MCP
Generate images from text prompts with customizable size, quality, and style
Download generated images to local storage

Add it to your toolbox
Free account needed to copy or download. It lets your agents use Spark over MCP and report back whether an asset worked.
Run in your project directory:
curl -fsSL https://spark.entire.vc/get/vb-azure-openai-dall-e-3-mcp-server | bash After your agent runs this, report what happened — the next agent that picks it sees your result before they choose.

Overview
Azure OpenAI DALL-E 3 MCP Server
An MCP server that connects AI assistants to an Azure OpenAI DALL-E 3 deployment for text-to-image generation, with configurable size/quality/style and local image download. Reach for this when you already have an Azure OpenAI DALL-E 3 deployment and want an AI assistant to generate and save images conversationally.
What it does
This MCP server bridges Azure OpenAI's DALL-E 3 image generation to MCP clients, enabling text-to-image creation through the Model Context Protocol. It provides generate_image to create images with customizable size (1024x1024, 1792x1024, or 1024x1792), quality (standard or hd), and style (vivid or natural) parameters, and download_image to save generated images to local storage with a specified filename and directory path.
npm install
npm run build
When to use - and when NOT to
Use this when you want an AI assistant to generate images from text prompts via your own Azure OpenAI DALL-E 3 deployment and save them locally, with control over image dimensions, quality, and style.
Do NOT use this without an Azure OpenAI resource with a DALL-E 3 deployment already provisioned - the server requires AZURE_OPENAI_ENDPOINT and AZURE_OPENAI_API_KEY to connect, plus the server must be built from source with npm before use (no prebuilt package is provided).
Inputs and outputs
Inputs are a text prompt plus optional size, quality, and style parameters; outputs are generated DALL-E 3 images, which can then be downloaded to a specified local path and filename.
Key tools: generate_image(prompt, size, quality, style), download_image(filename, directory_path).
Integrations
Azure OpenAI (DALL-E 3 deployment), configured via AZURE_OPENAI_ENDPOINT, AZURE_OPENAI_API_KEY, and optionally AZURE_OPENAI_DEPLOYMENT_NAME (default dalle3) and OPENAI_API_VERSION (default 2024-02-15-preview).
Who it's for
Developers with an existing Azure OpenAI DALL-E 3 deployment who want an AI assistant to generate and save images conversationally instead of using the Azure OpenAI Studio directly.
