README
GitLab
GitLab links merge requests to Mesh tasks and keeps their state on the task: the MR itself and the pipeline that runs on it.
What it does
- Receives GitLab webhooks for merge requests and pipelines and attaches each MR to the task it mentions.
- Shows MR state (open, merged, closed) and the latest pipeline result next to the task, so a reviewer sees red CI without leaving the board.
- Works with self-hosted GitLab: the instance address is a setting, and network access is limited to that address.
Where it is configured
The connection (base URL, token, webhook secret) can be set for the whole instance, per workspace, or per project. The project level picks the repository. Tokens are stored encrypted and are not shown after saving.
Permissions
Reads and writes tasks, writes VCS links. Network access only to the GitLab address you configure, for MR and pipeline status checks.
Install
GitLab is built into Mesh. There is no artifact to download: an administrator turns it on in Extensions and each workspace connects its own GitLab. Updates ship with Mesh.
