README

GitHub

GitHub links pull requests to Mesh tasks, so the status of a change is visible on the task itself instead of in a separate tab.

What it does

  • Receives GitHub webhooks for pull requests and attaches each PR to the task it mentions.
  • Checks PR status through the GitHub API and shows it on the task: open, merged or closed.
  • Lets a project pin a single repository (owner/name), so links from other repositories do not leak in.

Where it is configured

The connection (token and webhook secret) can be set once for the whole instance, per workspace, or overridden per project. The project level only picks the repository. Secrets are stored encrypted and never shown again after saving.

Permissions

Reads and writes tasks, writes VCS links. Network access is limited to api.github.com, used for the PR status check.

Install

GitHub is built into Mesh. There is nothing to download: an administrator turns it on in Extensions, then each workspace connects its own token. Updates arrive with Mesh itself.
