Chat with Agent

Chat with Agent gives every person on the team a private conversation with a project agent, right next to the project.

What it does

• Opens a private thread per person and per project: what you ask stays between you and the agent.
• The agent answers through a runner connected to the workspace, so it works with the same tools and access as the rest of your agents.
• Threads keep their history, so you can come back to a conversation later. How long history is kept is a workspace setting (forever by default), along with the attachment size limit.

Where it is configured

Enabled per workspace, then set up per project: the project picks which agents are available in the chat and which roles (admin, member, viewer) may use it.

Permissions

Reads agents and projects to route the conversation. It adds a settings panel to workspace and project settings. It does not get network access of its own: answers come through the workspace runner.

Install

Chat with Agent is built into Mesh. There is no package to download, but it needs a runner connected to the workspace to answer. Turn it on in Extensions, connect a runner, then enable it in the project. Updates ship with Mesh.
